Frequently Asked Questions

What fees can I expect to pay when I hire an interior designer?

La Bella Casa Interior Designs is a fee based design firm.  The benefit of a fee structure is that clients are not routinely billed by the hour for the designers’ services and time.  Design fees are based upon the scope of work, square footage of project and location.  The fee represents a reasonable assessment of time, materials and resources it will take to professionally complete your job, and it assures you that La Bella Casa Interior Designs will complete your project on time and on budget.  The scope of work, design fee and schedule of payments are detailed in a document called the Letter of Agreement.  The Letter of Agreement is a contract between you, the client, and La Bella Casa Interior Designs.

What is the first step once I’ve decided to hire La Bella Casa Interior Designs?

A face to face meeting is the best way for us to get to know one another.  Lisa will want to listen to your ideas for your project.  This information gathering appointment will provide the opportunity for you to share photos, pictures and ideas you want considered for the design plan.  If you have any architectural drawings and blueprints you can bring them to the meeting.  Lisa will take “before” photographs and measurements of the proposed space.  This meeting will provide La Bella Casa Interior Designs with the information needed to develop the preliminary design plan.

Will there be any additional fees beyond the Letter of Agreement?

As long as the project remains within the parameters set by the Scope of Work in the Letter of Agreement there are no additional fees. Should you choose to add accessories they will be billed under a separate agreement.  This service is billed at the Designer’s prevailing hourly rate in three hour blocks of time at a rate of $450.  Blocks of time are purchased PRIOR to the designer shopping.    Returns are included as billable time.
